Ukrainian designer Sergey Lvov has created the Tuttu furniture collection. It is made of smooth metal frame and removable cushions.
From the designer, “Inspired by childhood memories, we took up the reincarnation of an archaic object, which became for us such a close and dumb witness of growing up. As children, my brothers and I were very fond of listening to grandfather’s stories about life, begging them at any opportunity, perched on the floor around the chair.
In our interpretation, the heroes of the past come to life, like a chameleon painted in the surroundings of the scene of the story: we created four different archetypes from the stories of grandfather, associated with the types of activities that we remembered: “Aviator” – pilot, “Farmer” – farmer, “Lumberer” – lumberjack, Savant is a scientist.
Having abandoned the classic look, we created a symbiosis of a chair and a backpack, leaving the form of an open look, clear content and comfortable fit, calling the collection a coined pleasant word Tuttu. In three versions of the chair, the back is reminiscent of a backpack, with a pocket for useful little things, under the chair there is also a lodgement for magazines.
In the new image, the smooth metal frame and the enveloping soft part delicately overlap each other. A removable cushion, button-fastened, has an external and internal cover for easy care and washing.”
