Spanish designer Silvia Ceñal has created the Macaron Lamp in collaboration with EMKO. The design of the lamp was inspired by a sweet meringue-based treat made with simple ingredients like eggs, icing sugar, granulated sugar and almond powder.
From the designers, “Making the perfect treat is not an easy task. The same thing is true with the Macaron lamp: we needed to combine simple materials in the right proportions to get a lamp with personality. The wood used conveys warmth and strength. We also added a cord between the two pieces of wood, giving a touch of originality with its texture and color. Just like the different flavors of a macaron.”
