The cabin’s design is inspired by historic gold miner huts, with its exterior featuring custom-folded aluminium cladding that reflects the form of the building and its interior adorned with timber for a warm and welcoming ambiance. The cabin’s fully glazed surfaces offer breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, creating an intimate connection with the environment.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Biv cabin has been designed with sustainability in mind. It is constructed using prefabricated, off-site cross-laminated timber (CLT) for its thermal performance and low embodied carbon. A durable concrete floor, resting on just a few concrete piles, further emphasizes the cabin’s emphasis on simple living.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with modern amenities and comforts, including a small fire for added atmosphere. However, the spaces are deliberately underlit to enhance the feeling of tranquility and contemplation. The Biv cabin is the perfect blend of minimalism and luxury, offering guests a peaceful and comfortable retreat in the midst of stunning natural surroundings.
