Taiwan-based designer Shin Chen has created & Chair, a multifunctional furniture unit that also becomes a low stool, coffee table and a high stool based on how you place it.
From the designer, “& Chair is not just a chair, but a partner which lives together, create natural scenery in the space. Aims to create a chair with simple shapes, attractive design and create a multifunction furniture simultaneously. People can change its way according to their living habits or environment, just a simple placing movement to change function, let it blend into life perfectly.
By placing in three different directions, “& Chair” will have three different functions, including a “low stool”, “coffee table”, and a “high stool”. The chair is handmade of natural materials including felt and ash wood, with storage under surface suitable for smaller objects, like magazine, books and some personal belongings, “& Chair” aims to create a chair with simple shapes, attractive design and create a multifunction furniture simultaneously.
