South African practice Nicholas Plewman Architects have designed a 24-bed luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Botswana in collaboration with Michaelis Boyd Associates. The lodge is located in the Okavango Delta, one of the seven natural wonders of the African continent.

The design of the lodge was inspired by the animals that carry their shelter with them like the pangolin – Africa’s armadillo – which curls into its own protective carapace of scales.
