Stockholm based architect Karin Matz has renovated an old apartment located in Heleneborgsgatan, Stockholm. The old apartment was used as a furniture storage for 30 years. It underwent a renovation by the old owner but the renovation work stopped due to the illness of the owner and left untouched until his death.
The apartment measures 36 square meter and the new owner wanted everything he wanted on a very tight budget. The goal was to include a walk-in closet, appliances for everyday life, a shower and bath while maintaining airy sensation.
The apartment is divided into two parts. One part contains a single structure which includes all the functional parts of the apartment, bedroom, kitchen, wardrobe and storage space are all one.
